On July 26th, 2025, LogistiQ hosted their 3rd Annual Golf scramble where all proceeds benefit the Ottawa County Skilled Trades Academy (STA). The STA is a comprehensive, credit-based skilled trades program for high school juniors and seniors. The purpose of the program is to educate and expose our youth to both the skills and the continued education that is needed to fill in-demand jobs in technical and trade fields in Ohio.
At 8 am, 35 teams, which is the largest number of teams yet, dispersed across the 18-hole course. The sun was shining down on the greens and there was a warm breeze in the air, a perfect summer Saturday to tee-off. Upon walking up to their assigned cart, each golfer was greeted with a welcome bag that included branded koozies, sunglasses, golf towels, and hand sanitizer. Snacks and water were also included to keep each golfer satisfied till they arrived at the hot dog turn. Some of the holes included some play or pay, games like Frisbee Fore, Target Tee-Off, Golf Like a Skilled Trade and more.
This is where before taking the tee box, each player will receive special rules for the hole that will either give you an advantage, cost you an extra stroke or two, or possibly just have others around you laughing.
Opting out of these were an option, for a $5 donation that is. Don’t worry, the scramble was traditional too. Longest drive and longest putts were sprinkled in there as well, where you could win a prize. The teams made their way back up to the club house after finishing their 18th hole, where everyone enjoyed lunch while listening to the winners of the raffle prizes and 50/50. There were many raffle prizes donated by LogistiQ and their vendors, along with some from other local businesses. Some of this year’s prizes included a Yeti Cooler, gift cards, a minibike, sporting event tickets, a Milwaukee Pack Out and a TaylorMade driver. By mid-afternoon the teams and the volunteers for the day departed, thrilled to have once again been a part of another successful benefit scramble.
On Friday, September 26th, 2025, LogistiQ hosted the Ottawa County Business Advisory Council meeting in their training center where this year’s check from the Golf Scramble was presented by Emily Martuicci, President, with a value of $65,000, thanks to the generous match from the owners of LogistiQ. Emily Messino, Engagement and Outreach Specialist spoke to the group. “A huge thank you to all of our local businesses who have continued to support this event, and those who were new supporters. We also greatly appreciated the support of our County Commissioners who joined us out on the course. We are appreciative of our vendors and employees who continue to support this event year after year. For that, thank you to those who donated raffle prizes and team sponsorships. But also, thank you to the LogistiQ staff who helped with all the planning, preparation and of course to those who volunteered their Saturday to work the scramble.”
